Spotlight: Sarah Peter

True story. Most people who open advertising agencies start with an account. Or, failing that, a bank balance. Sarah once opened her own advertising agency with neither.
That’s not the crazy part. She landed her first account in a week. That’s not the crazy part. It was Bank of America.
Sarah has walked in the client’s shoes as Assistant Marketing Director for an automotive aftermarket firm, where she worked with R&D to launch hundreds of new products to both trade and consumer markets. She then crossed to the creative side with regional powerhouse Price/McNabb, where she produced projects for clients like Lowes and Home Depot, Springs Industries, Drexel Heritage, Duke Energy and Husqvarna.
At no luggage, the aptly named shop she opened on her own dime – (not!) – she lived creative for local and regional accounts: Expressions Custom Furniture, Rich Sea-Pak, American-Express. Awards from the One Show and Creative Arts ensued.
In 2003, Sarah came to LKM to produce, not only advertising, but award-winning non-traditional work as well as building the agency’s interactive and special projects capabilities.
Family:
Married for the past five years to husband Brian (high voltage sources really do need to be grounded.) Daughter Bella is “brilliant” in the British sense: at two, already a force to be reckoned with. The family lives happily in Charlotte and takes every opportunity to get out in the Carolina blue.
Passions:
The whole enchilada: not just life, but being completely and utterly alive. Learning something every day. Giving oneself to a great glass of wine. Succumbing totally to a dark movie theatre. Watching my daughter fly fearlessly through life.
